Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (Spanish Water Dog Type)

Description

Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (Spanish water dog type) affects dogs and is an inherited progressive neurological disorder. 
Affected dogs will generally present with an abnormal gait, nervousness, incontinence, and behaviour changes including dullness, and vocalisation between 6 months to 1 year of age. Some dogs may also display vision loss and decreased muscle tone. 
Dogs are typically euthanised within a year of diagnosis as a result of disease progression.
